We got some great high-grade assays from the drilling Northstar managed to complete on its Miller project, located near Kirkland Lake’s SMC Macassa mine. The 2,200+ meters of drilling represented the majority of the 3,000 metres management had planned before COVID put a temporary halt to drilling in early April.
Northstar drilled two of three targets before that drilling halt: they tested the Vein 1 zone, which hosts a small but high-grade historic resource, and they tested for steeply-dipping veins within the Allied Syenite.
Vein 1 essentially tracks the Allied Syenite contact. Historic work showed good grades but the work is old, so Northstar certainly needs to drill and update, while also testing for expansion in various directions
